All that we think we are arises as the result of multi-fold feedback loops of perception which Echo within our 'being' and create either resonance or dissonance depending on the nature of our perceptual apparatus. The sense of 'self' that arises within the individuated being is a result of these echoes, intersecting and interacting within the supposedly separate mind of the assumed individual. As this activity continues over the course of time we tend to identify our 'selves' in terms of what is produced and thus formulate a complex yet completely false sense of who we are. What we assume ourselves to be is in fact a pale shadow of what we truly are. Our assumptions are formed solely from the echoes in our minds. |
